COACHES

Technical Director Tyler

Senior Lead Coach

Hometown: Baie D'Urfé, Qc
Alma mater: John Abbott

Tyler joined TBC in the Winter 2017. Having been a member of a competitive junior badminton club as a player and then as an assistant, he developed an eye for playing at a high level with proper technique. A passionate photo and videographer, Tyler is an asset to our club and takes great pride in his work. In his 'spare' time, he plays even more badminton including competing at the highest levels in the province with the best of the best. When Tyler talks to you, consider it the best badminton advice you can get!

Lead Coach Quin

Hometown: Baie d'Urfé, Qc
Alma mater: WIC / LCC

Quin was one of the original players of the TBC. He graduated to coaching in the Fall 2018. A determined high school player, Quin won the GMAA Gold Medal in Juvenile as the best player in all 20+ high schools in 2019. Now in Uni, he's decided to give back and keep on playing. An avid athlete, you can usually spot him running or biking in the snow wearing rainbow shades. He'll either be smiling, extremely serious, or passionately without expression.

Lead Coach Lucas

Hometown: Beaconsfield
Alma mater: Dorval Jean XXIII

Lucas joined TBC in Fall 2019. After finding a passion for badminton at age 12 in adult clubs such as BHS, CBRNM and RSL, he then competed at the college level. In 2018, Lucas coached the Mont-Royal high school team in the RSEQ earning 1 gold + 2 silver medals at regionals for his players. In his spare time, Lucas enjoys piano, cycling, swimming and festivals (Osheaga, Jazz, Ile Soniq, etc.)

Lead Coach Vanda

Hometown: Lachine
Alma mater: AVH School

Vanda joined the TBC in the Fall of 2019. A long time player for her school and an original TBC player, Vanda is always full of positive vibes and encouragement. While playing for her school, Vanda won Midget Singles Gold in the 2018 Lac Saint-Louis RSEQ season. In her spare time Vanda enjoys skiing where she also teaches and attend Ottawa University in International Business.
